SPRING NEWSLETTER 2024

SECRETARY'S NOTES

The David Domoney talk was a really fantastic evening it was too, thanks to all who brought items for the buffet. He had his new book on sale and signed all the copies for members and guests. Have to be honest we would have expected more members to attend but appreciate you can’t make every date we meet. What has transpired following this meeting and in consultation with those who did attend is that with the darker nights people would favour an afternoon meeting instead of the evenings.

We are now back to monthly meetings with the Summer months now reverting to 7.00pm, half an hour earlier. The AGM agreed to restart the regular meetings following mor new members and added interest in restarting events.

 

For existing Club Members we have a special treat on Friday 2nd August 2024 with a coach trip to Taunton Flower Show. Not a long trip starting at 10.00 from Bideford and collecting at Rose Lane Barnstaple at 10.30. Leaving the show at 4.00pm so a nice easy day out and all free to members. Bring your guests and they will pay £30 for the coach fare and with entrance to the show included. That’s cheaper than any locally offered coach trip

SUBSCRIPTIONS

Subscriptions were due on 5th March 2024 and the AGM kept them the same rate. We welcome new members and ask those who have not rejoined or paid subscriptions in 2023 to either use the Membership form on the contact page and subscriptions are still £5.00 per member or couple at the same address or confirm they no longer wish to be a member. We also ask for members to permit us to send newsletters via email and they can download the latest copy on this website from the button on several pages.
