SECRETARY'S NOTES

With the closure at the end of November of our former venue we’ve moved all meetings for 2026 to the Bideford Baptist Church Hall in Mill Street and all meetings will be during the afternoons commencing at 2.30pm There is limited parking so we advise using  public car parks and enter the hall on foot from Mill Street, just walk up to the right of the building and the door is in Hill Garden Close. It’s a lovely hall with good kitchen and very comfortable with good heating. The club originated at the old Baptist Church Hall  as Bideford Cactus Club in 1959 so is returning home after a very long time

Wednesday 10th December 2025 - Christmas Lunch  at The Crealock Arms, Littleham 12.00pm traditional Carvery Lunch was a good success but shame only 10 members attended.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

Subscriptions due at the Annual General Meeting on 13th January 2026 in our new home and newsletters will be sent before this via email where we have the details or by post where you aren’t on the internet. We would ask that if you no longer wish to continue membership please let us know to reduce unwanted mail and postage.

Many thanks to Pauline Spencer for the Social Secretary role and organising speakers and the excellent Raffle at the Show. Our Show on 10th August 2025 was good although lacking in attendance as it clashed with Transport Festival event in the park and suffered badly for attendance as a result of that.
