CLUB MEETINGS 2024

We restarted meetings in March and usually have the Raffle and the interval Tea & Biscuits.

THESE ARE DATES CURRENTLY BOOKED

Tuesday 11th March - 2.30pm in the Choir Room, entrance from Honestone Street Car Park - note if you are driving there is parking charge during the afternoon but its quite reasonable as a long-stay car park. £2.20 for 2 hours

Our Annual General Meeting  for 2025 with regular meetings and events..

We have again received a grant again from Bideford Bridge Trust for £1200 and £500 from Bideford Town Council for which we are very grateful and will use it to improve the club for the next year and it has helped broker the losses on the Summer Show this year.

Spring meetings restarted on 11th March with the AGM also in the afternoon at 2.30pm.

8th April - Jane Lindsay, Tynings Climbing Plants from Tickenham, Gold Medal Winners at 6 successive Chelsea Shows for with superb plants for sale too - Evening meetings recommence for the Summer but at 7.00pm.

18th May - Visit to Rosemoor with free entry for all members as part of our affiliation to the RHS

15th June - Coach trip Buckfast Abbey and a Garden Centre

8th July - Show Preparation Meeting and  Guest Speaker  Mike Arthurs with  demonstration on Hostas

with plants for sale. 7.00pm

10th August - Annual Flower Show , our 57th Show at the Pannier Market NOTE CHANGE OF DATE

31st August - Minibus trip to Mike & Pauline Wright’s home by car and/or minibus

9th September - No meeting August trip replaces meeting night

14th October - Caradoc Doy - “Putting your Garden to Bed for Winter” -  2.30pm

11th November - Jeremy Wilson - “Tea” - the origin and cultivation of the nations favourite brew.. 2.30pm

10th December - Christmas Lunch at The Crealock Arms, Littleham with the AGM after the meal.
