SPRING NEWSLETTER 2026

PLEASE NOTE - OUR NEW VENUE FOR 2026 WILL BE BIDEFORD BAPTIST CHURCH HALL, MILL STREET.

There is very limited parking for the speaker and 3 other spaces for unloading and disabled use only. Public parking on the Quay is available and bus services are also a good idea.  Vehicle access for unloading is Hill Garden Close EX39 2RS but please don’t park there or you will get clamped!!!

Access on foot is to the right of the main church building and door is in Hill Garden Close. We have out own key to open up and get the room warm. That is a real bonus of the move.

SECRETARY'S NOTES

We are now going back to monthly meetings at 2.30pm to avoid nighttime access for our members. It is really a return to the spiritual home of the club as it started there in the old Baptist Schoolroom in 1959. Apologies if the afternoons do not suit everyone but we will no doubt be having visits in place of meetings during 2026.

The 2025 AGM agreed to restart the regular meetings and to have some trips to places of interest following a good attendance at the AGM with more new members joining this year with added interest in restarting events.

 

With the change of venue and the intention to run a January and February Meeting we will make 13th January 2026 the AGM .

SUBSCRIPTIONS

We welcome new members and ask those who have not rejoined or paid subscriptions in 2025 to either use the Membership form on the contact page and subscriptions are still £5.00 per member or couple at the same address. Please confirm if you no longer wish to be a member. We also ask for members to permit us to send newsletters via email and they can download the latest copy on this website from the button on several pages.
